--in poland during ww II they would hold underground poetry readings--knowing such things were illegal and all persent were likely to be arrested, tortured, and killed by the Natzi's . Some were. Most of the poems were lost. They were just fucking kids, too. They let girls in.When i think about it i wonder "was it worth it?---over fucking poems?"-They were horifyingly beautifully innocentidealisticbeautiful kids fucked up ending--the olny real thing I ever read commenting on it was by Czleslaw Miltoz, who just said, "Poetry of despair is too easy."
